Residential Garden
Today's garden is tomorrow's food!

Our residential garden program was created in 2016 as part of our mission to increase the access that local Metro Detroit residents have to fresh organically grown produce. Through this program, participants are educated on how to start and manage their very own garden in their backyard. Our Peace Tree Parks staff installs each raised garden bed with care to get each household started on its gardening journey.
Our residential garden program operates as a co-op with participants. Though garden beds are installed at no cost to participants, each participant is encouraged to donate to support funding for resources.
Sign-up now and let us bring organic gardening to your backyard!
We are now offering resources through our KGD partnership for residential garden recipients!
In 2022, we began partnering with Keep Growing Detroit to provide ongoing resources to our residential garden recipients. As of the 2022 gardening season, all residential garden recipients will receive a FREE membership to KDG's Garden Resource program.
If you are a recipient that has participated in our residential program in the past (prior to 2022), you now have access to become a part of KGD's "Partner in Food Sovereignty" for FREE, this gives you access to classes, etc.
For more information about both programs, click here.
If you are a current or past recipient interested in either program, please contact us for instructions on how to enroll.
Our 2023 Residential Garden Application is now closed.
All applications received after the 2023 application deadline will automatically be added to the 2024 recipient list.
